In a crowded skincare market dominated by price wars and whitening claims, SAWA needed to reclaim relevance and emotional connection, especially with Kenya’s young, image-conscious consumers.
We repositioned SAWA from a lotion to a daily ritual of confidence and control. “Own Your Ritual” celebrated the
rhythm of self-care through film, music, dance, and humor turning skincare into culture.
A 60-sec cinematic TVC captured real Nairobi rituals, from morning prayers to creative flow. A new premium visual
identity, original Afropop anthem, and a live Dance Launch with 15 dancers brought the brand to life. Online, comedian
Kapinto’s viral “SAWA Rituals” skits made self-care fun, authentic, and shareable.
